Pre-Academy adds TEN teams to 7 Elite Academy program

2022

7 Elite Academy is looking for new Pre-Academy players in Saint George and Salt Lake City, after almost 100 young people graduated from the program in the last year.

The sessions aim to introduce younger players to the game through a combination of quality coaching and games in a fun and supportive environment.

Over the last five years, the program has expanded to include coaching by UEFA, FA and USSF A-Licensed coaches, with a succession of youngsters graduating to 7 Elite Academy teams.

Players in the 2015 to 2018 age groups are eligible to join 7 Elite Pre-Academy, with additional sessions for 2013 and 2014 brackets in Salt Lake City. Sessions will also start in the Davis/Weber region this year.

Last season’s bumper graduating class created ten new teams across Utah – and academy bosses are looking to repeat that remarkable success over the next twelve months.

Matt Brown, 7 Elite Pre-Academy Manager, said: “It has been a truly impressive few years for our Pre-Academy program, especially last season when we had so many young people decide to join our teams.

“That is a result of a lot of hard work from the players, coaches and of course the parents. It has been a real team effort and I am proud of what we have all achieved.

“We all know soccer is a wonderful game that offers so many great benefits, which is why we want to introduce even more youngsters to our Pre-Academy program.

“Even if a young person decides soccer is not for them, they will have made countless memories and friendships from Pre-Academy.”

The 7 Elite Pre-Academy program is split into four cycles of seven one-hour weekly coaching sessions to co-incide with summer, fall, winter and spring.

Players in Salt Lake City are also invited to join the West Jordan Youth Soccer recreational scheme.
