Girls return to Utah as National Champions

2026

7 Elite Academy’s 2011G Predator South returned to St George as National Champions after securing the National Premier League title in Denver.

The youngsters were crowned champions following a 3-1 win over Maryland Rush on Saturday, following a week that saw them beat teams from across the country.

They qualified for the tournament in Colorado after winning their bracket in the Junior Premier League, which runs throughout the year.

The NPL finals are held every year and are an opportunity for the best youth soccer teams in the USA to meet in an annual, coveted destination.

Crystal Soderquist, Head Coach of 7 Elite Academy 2011G Predator South, said: “This has been incredible year for these players and their families.

“To win their JPL bracket was a fantastic achievement, but to go on and win the NPL title is testament to their outstanding hard work and commitment.

“These players also won the 7 Elite Academy Tournament in February, so this is the icing on the cake for them.

“I can’t thank the families and our coaches enough for their support throughout the year. And of course, the players fully deserve their success.”

The team will now contest the Girls Academy Aspire program next season, as part of a continuing expanding series of new events.

Crystal added: “GA Aspire is going to be a huge challenge for our players, but it’s one that I know they will face with typical determination.

“For now, they deserve to celebrate this achievement with friends and families, then look ahead to the new season.

“We will return to training soon and concentrate on continuing the remarkable momentum these players have built up over the last few years.

“It is so exciting that they will now be starting to look for college opportunities and meeting recruiters.”
